As a full-time working mum who also runs a small business, life with two children, three pets, and a husband can get very busy. However, life can also be incredibly beautiful, filled with stunning sunsets, new discoveries, smiling faces, inspiring people, kind gestures, and places that capture our hearts. Above all, it’s the moments of unconditional love that often come when we least expect them that make life so special.
Like many families in Luxembourg, we wanted to take a small getaway during the Easter school holidays to a destination we had never visited before. I chose the travel services of emile weber for the following reasons:
- Limited time availability
- Fast and reliable information
- Easy communication; everything handled via email in English
- Shuttle bus transport from home to Luxembourg Airport and back
- Personalized options for extra activities
- Documentation delivered to our home
- Excellent customer service
- Wide variety of options based on the details I provided about our preferences
- Sufficient time given to make the final decision
- Comprehensive information on the destination, including entry requirements and health tips
- Positive previous experiences with emile weber’s WEBTAXI and WebCamper services, especially when assistance was needed outside of regular working hours.
For the booking process, everything went very smoothly. I sent a simple email to the generic address: [email protected], asking for ideas for 2-3 countries I was considering, including accommodations and authentic activities and experiences. The very next day, I received a great variety of suggestions with details from a dedicated Travel Designer who took on my request. The information was well-organized and easy to navigate, complete with prices and all necessary details. The proposals included pictures of the suggested hotels with detailed descriptions and thorough information about the areas I was interested in. From that point on, communication was very easy. In the evenings, after a busy day, I would send my questions, comments, and suggestions via email, and I always received prompt responses the following day.
The emile weber Travel Designer provided detailed explanations about each destination, informed me of activities I could pre-book, and answered all my questions regarding travel formalities.
Once I confirmed my holiday package choice, I received the travel contract, booking references, and relevant documents via email. The Travel Designer asked me to check all the details and inform her of any errors, but everything was perfect. At my request, the actual travel documents were mailed to my home a few weeks before our flight, as I couldn't pick them up at the agency. Emile Weber accommodated this without any issues.
emile weber also informed me about their shuttle service from my home to the airport and back. This was a lifesaver since our flight was at 6 AM. I was thinking of previous trips where we were stressing about car parking availability and that really made a big difference.
The shuttle bus driver of emile weber, Bruno, was a lovely person, helping me with the luggage, asking us what kind of radio station or songs we would like to listen on the way to the airport which was really fun because my kids love music and songs, and they could listen to some of their favorites on the way. On our return, Bruno (the same driver) was waiting for us at the arrivals with a sign displaying our names. The children were very happy to see him again, knowing they could once more enjoy their favorite music on the drive back home.
For the trip itself, we chose to visit Djerba, Tunisia. I had read conflicting reviews on this destination, but as I like to form my own opinion, I decided to go with my children.
The hotel and its animation team were amazing, the food was great, and everything was clean and it was situated on a beautiful sandy beach with palm trees.
We toured the island and went on additional excursions, two of which were booked through emile weber with GetYourGuide. Highlights included a desert visit, a tour of a traditional Berber village with a private guide, visiting Star Wars filming locations, local markets, museums, the artistic neighborhood of Djerba, the crocodile park, a pottery factory, and the national perfume factory.
The people we met were polite and lovely, doing their best to offer us an unforgettable experience.
Overall, we made lovely long-lasting memories, enjoyed new experiences, and we came back already discussing our next destination. Life is a journey after all.
And you, where are you heading next with your children?
